The Nine Archons was the failed first government council of the Lyran Commonwealth.[1][2]

History
They were the leaders of the three founding defense pacts (the Protectorate of Donegal, the Federation of Skye and the Tamar Pact), their deputies, an elected treasurer, the commander of the Commonwealth force and finally a transportation secretary.[1] It was overthrown by Robert Marsden.[2]
