In the Clans, trials serve an important function. Used as solutions to disagreemnets, determining promotions, breeding rights, and for adminitrative functions, trials are battles between two or more parties: with the victor determining the outcome of the issue.
A Trial of Refusal is a battle with one party representing a statement, decree, or law; and the other party refusing to abide by it.
