This page is a "wishlist" of tasks for NicBot to accomplish. For the time being, please make requests through an Admin (other than Nic himself).

Directions: Determine the relative importance (be honest with yourself) of the requested task and then provide a bulleted entry, with a descriptive title, a link to your talk page, and any additional information you feel Nic may be able to use to best understand the task. Nic will contact you on your talk page if he requires additional information.

Importance Tier 2 ("extensive entries")

• Add section titles "othernames", "rank", "title", "parents", "siblings", "spouse", "children" to in article InfoBoxCharacter (Dmon): Example: Help:CreateCharacterArticle
• Update in article section title "crest" in InfoBoxCorporation to "image" (Dmon)
• Update in article section title "crest" in InfoBoxFactions to "image" (Dmon)
• Update in article section title "crest" in InfoBoxHouse to "image" (Dmon)

InfoBoxProduct Template Request

Currently the product code field on the InfoBoxProduct template has been used to store both the code and a link to where it can be bought (With the link rapped on the text). I would make another field called store url (or something like that) and we seperate these two things.Once the template is updated to use this new field we would need the bot to modify existing pages using that template. It would edit the url and text placed in the Product Code field, and unlink the text, and put the url that was there into the new field. --Deadfire (talk) 18:31, 29 December 2021 (EST)

Importance Tier 3 ("nice to have")

• Replace "battles" with "conflicts" on Year pages (Revanche): As indicated; in 2011, consensus was reached to use the more-inclusive term "conflict". Example: 2353

• Add <div class="desktop-3-col"> to certain articles & sections:
  • To each page with a Bibliography section (Revanche): Example: Atria
  • To each system page, on the Political Affiliation section (Revanche): Example: Atria
  • To each Books page, on the Contents section (Revanche): Example: Interstellar Operations

• Replace <div style="-moz-column-count:3; column-count:3;"> with <div class="desktop-3-col"> so those aren't compressed on mobile

• Change section title "Owner History" in (remaining) system articles to "Political Affiliation" (Revanche): Example: Strato Domingo

• Have a bot that checks the existing characters that use the InfoBoxCharacter and adds any missing "tag" on them, like othernames or the new ones created not that long ago to segregate "line of work, titles and so on.".

• Project Planet: complete a new Nearby Systems table run (Volt): based upon substantial additions made to the SUCKit

• Remove all {{PlanetOverhaul}} tags from system articles (Revanche): With the near-completion of the Project: Planets overhaul and the bot-nature of the work, these tags no longer serve a purpose. Example: Inner End

• Remove "Map of the Inner Sphere 3130" citations (references & biblios) (Revanche): At some point, a then-accessible source was added as a reference and bibliography entry to a large number of articles. In addition to that source now being considered non-canonical, the link is no longer functional. Example: Inner End

• Remove (now-deleted) {{FanonNotice}} tag (& section) from user talk pages (Revanche): In 2011, when the wiki went fully canonical, users who had uploaded fanon were requested via the now-outdated tag to transfer or otherwise remove any material they valued. Ten years on, the tag was deleted (as out-of-date); it would be nice to remove these reminders (and their associated section breaks) from the user talk pages.
