Planetary Info
Vindemiatrix is best known for the Vindemiatrix Observatory, a university that focuses almost totally on stellar life cycles and planetology. This is understandable, as Vindemiatrix' yellow sun is dying. Though it will remain for several thousand years, since the world was first settled over fifteen percent of the native lifeforms have become extinct and another thirty percent are endangered. These extinctions and population declines are the result of human population and the changes that have occurred in Vindemiatrix' star.[1]
Until the end of the star's life, Vindemiatrix does offer several high quality mineral veins and enough arable land to feed the inhabitants. The capital city of Brattleson's Depot is located on Scandavara. The Observatory is placed on Treshira, the world's northern continent. The final continent, Kressia, is almost totally given over to farming, ranching, and wildlife preserves.[1]
