The Wetumpka system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Filtvelt Coalition.[1][2]

System Description

The Wetumpka system is located near the Broken Wheel and Marielund systems.[1][2]

System History

The Wetumpka system was settled before or during the Age of War and was a part of the Federated Suns by the end of the era.[3][4]

Jihad

After the Jihad erupted Wetumpka was one of a number of Federated Suns Outback worlds to suffer predation from pirate bands operating from the Periphery. The Thumpers Assault Battalion, a mercenary BattleMech unit, was deployed in the region at the time and signed a contract with the Filtvelt Coalition after the formation of the splinter state; the Thumpers went on to both train the Filtvelt Military Academy training battalion and to assist the garrison forces on the nearby world of Marielund against the pirates.[35]
