Colonel William Bronson was the commanding officer of the Eridani Light Horse Brigade and later the founder of Bronson's Horde.

Williams greed and disregard for Star League traditions caused the vast majority of the Eridani Light Horse to desert, eventually reforming the brigade without him. The remaining soldiers loyal to Bronson, a few officers and lances, would form a new unit called Bronson's Horde.
