Kind of curious because in one ground CBT turn heat sinks dissipate heat every 10 seconds. 60 seconds in a minute divided by 10 seconds equals 6.

They work all the time.... when there is heat they get rid of it..... Btech is turn based so it doesn't take into account Real Time heat dissipation...
think of each heat point as 100 degrees it's more like 1 heat sink reduces heat by 10 degrees per second but it only counts in the heat phase for ease of tracking.
1 heat point is probably not 100 degrees... that's just a nice round figure i used.

Dude, you're confusing rules with reality. Heat sinks dissipate heat continuously, not in pulses. Read the CBT:Companion or Tech Manual - heat sinks are heat pumps that continuously drive heat out of unit. In game terms, its simplified to X amount of heat per turn.

So how many heat points can one single heat sink dissipate in 60 seconds (one TW space turn)? How many heat points can one single heat sink dissipate in 10 seconds (one TW ground turn)?

Thats kind of impossible to answer, really.

This is answered in the heat rules of Battlespace, Aerotech-2, Aerotech-2R, and Total Warfare. Because of the different environments, the same heat sink will perform differently in space (vacuum is a great insulator) than in air. Read the books, Chip. They answer your question.
