Hey, I know I can use a targeting computer with an Ultra AC in slug mode. But can I still use it when I'm firing an Ultra AC in cluster mode?
New to the game... And little obsessed.

I don't want to sound like one of those silly know-it-all types that point out everone's tiny little mistakes...
The rules as I remember them...
Ultra AC's can be used with TC with the +3 or -1 mode, in +3 mode you still roll on the 2 chart, 8+ for both shots to hit, both hit the same location.
LB-X AC's with slug ammo can use both +3 and -1 as normal
Cluster ammo negates TC... sorry : )

So, if I'm only using the normal slug ammo, and I'm firing in rapid-fire mode (which requires the cluster table if it succeeds on the to-hit roll), I can still use the targeting computer?
New to the game... And little obsessed.

Right on. It' cluster AMMO that can't be used in conjunction with a targeting computer, yes?

Right Cluster Ammo is not able to gain the extra bonus of the Targeting Computer.
Pulses Lasers under the new rules lose the ability to have their bonus PLUS the Targeting Computer bonus, it is now one or the other.
Every other direct fire weapon, ie, non-pulse lasers, PPCs, ACs (other then LB-X firing Cluster) and Gauss Rifles get the bonus of the Targeting computer.

Don't you mean standard and Ultra mode? If so, you cannot use the Targeting computer's -1 when double-tapping.

Uhmm, for the first to hit roll you can get the target computer bonus, not the second roll for the UAC in double rate.
