The Regicide, or "Reggie" was a Succession Wars design minted by MiliTech. Advertised as being designed to slay nobility, the Regicide quickly caught on as an front line, show of force Battlemech for assaults on important or high-profile targets. A 'mech built around the concept of a 'moving wall' the Regicide is about as fast as you'd expect. However, carrying enough firepower to obliterate a Medium Lance single-handedly and being not much more expensive than an Atlas, the deployment of this 'Mech was a fearful encounter.
On paper, the Regicide is designed around a 15-point long range damage system, getting 16, 15 point direct fire salvos and an equal number of indirect fire salvos. For back-up, the PPC and dual Medium Lasers give a 10 point attack even at 3-hexes. The SRM4s allow exploitation of enemy armor breaches as well some anti-vehicle / anti-infantry attacks. Heavy armor and a CASE system prevent the 'Mech from being rendered combat ineffective by a lucky hit. With the Guass and LRM-15 being spared an arm ammo explosion, and the Medium Lasers / PPC being spared a Guass hit / LRM ammo explosion.
Very munchy(?)
