it is possible that your mech was destroyed really fast and salvaged really fast by the enemy.
and I don't think your able to modify support vehicles. then again I've only played the demo but concidering what Microsoft has done to the game. I'm still betting you can't....

Are you serious? after you purchase them just go to your mechbay and assign them to next mission. Also salvage as many mechs as you can in the missions that way you get them for free.

It sounds like your game is jacked up. Have you tried to reinstall it?

A similar thing happened to me the first time I installed MW3 all of my red colors were blue and all of the blue colors were red. And the funny thing was that I didnt even realize it until I went over to a friends house and saw him playing the game.
So I reinstalled it and it never happened again.
