I have recently read a small piece on the Bugeye and the Nightwing, and was wondering if anyone here might be able to give me some form of brief background history on these two craft. I have thoughts to include either of the designs in my story, but first need to find out a bit more about them before starting. Anyone care to help me out?

The Battletech Archive is a great online Tech Readout resource:

Though it's not fully updated to 3067.

Bugeye was a spy warship from TR2750. Later it appeared in Battlespace comeing in at 6100 tons.
When they changed to Aerotech 2 rules, the weights for warships changed and the low end was 100,000 tons. Thus the BugEye became a level 3 ship since it didn't match the new weigths.
The Nightwing is another spy ship, it's in the revised TRO 3057. It's a bigger version of the BugEye, but an older one as well.
I will post stats for them once I get home.
