Okay here is the plan...build a 15 ton mech that can out run a Locust as well as match it in firepower. IS tech only, you can use Level 3 stuff in regards to things like the new stuff from the Tech Manual, like Light ACs and Light PPCs and Light MGs that are now aviable for the IS.
Fluff is welcome and encouraged, but not needed. So have fun and let's see what folks come up with!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Inspired by the ancient aircraft of Terra, the Mustang MST-1X is a proof-of-concept design built and distributed by Kater and Kater Mech Foundries. Mirroring many of the traits of its namesake, the Mustang MST-1X is a speedy, powerful, and extremely accurate weapons platform capable of delivering a decisive blow to most any mech.
Compared to the battlemechs of today, the Mustang is maintains a fairly simple, clean, and streamlined look. Its soft curves and solid lines give it a subtle, but noticeably unique profile that leaves most pilots asking, "Am I supposed to look at this thing, or pilot it to war?" Thankfully, in spite of its soft image, it is a fully capable battlemech that's more than able to defend itself. The primary armament is composed of a pair of extended range medium lasers, backed up by a single medium pulse laser. Although decent weapons, they aren't quite enough to give it that needed, "Edge," so the designers opted to include a triad of ten-tube rocket launchers. All of these combined with a head mounted targeting computer makes this machine a highly accurate and deadly battlemech.
If this armament isn't enough to seize the day, then the pilot still has options. Namely, the mech's 135-rated fusion engine provides more than enough power to send the machine screaming across the landscape and away from all but the fastest of enemies.
As of today, only one such Mustang exists, with three more under construction.

My Notes: Spendy little guy, at least for my tastes, but fairly decent. Provided she was piloted well, I could see this doing pretty well against most lights. Biggest issue is the armor *grimace*. But, you've got to do what you've got to do.

Overview: Falcon Industries's first forray into mech design is the Evoker, it's appearance immitates the mech by which the clans designate the Summoner. Designed to provide the customer with speed and firepower on a budget, when compared to more radical designs using the new 'XXL' engines. Deciding to forgo an 'XXL' design, which by itself nearly doubles the price of a light mech, Falcon opted for a much more durable, reliable, and budget-minded Light Engine.
