------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== The devastation wreaked by the Word of Blake Jihad, left most Inner Sphere military forces with limited resources. Already weakened by the Civil War, the Lyran Alliance was desperate for new mechs to replace its depleted ranks.
The need for cheap, easily-built mechs became increasingly pressing until Randam Mechworks joined forces with Defiance Industries and produced a mech based on the highly popular Stalker.
==Capabilities:== The Siegfried makes use of the Stalker's basic frame, with major structural improvements to increase its load bearing capacity. As a result the Siegfried could carry an extra five tons of weight over the older model.
Few advanced components were used with the Siegfried, keeping building and maintenance costs low, using widely available components.
Though the design uses older technology, the weaponry is impressive.
A Heavy Gauss rifle was the only major concession to advanced technology giving the Siegfried a massive wallop at short and medium ranges. An ER PPC and four ER Medium lasers round out the armament. Though this means the Siegfried can run quite hot, the use of energy weapons avoids the problem of ammo resupply.
Perhaps one of the most controversial features of the Siegfried was the targeting computer. Though the technology was exclusive to Davion Mechs, Randam Mechworks could not resist combining it with the HGR. The resulting accuracy is frightening.
==Battle History:== The Siegfried has seen combat against Blakist forces and has proven itself several times over. Though it is slow, the highly accurate firepower it can bring to bear on the enemy has put Blakist forces in retreat more than once. Usually paired with machines such as the Fafnir, it can stop most attackers dead in its tracks.
==Variants:== Because of limited availablity of Heavy Gauss Rifles, the 4G variant replaces it with a regular Gauss Rifle, three tons of ammo and an ECM system. This version also has extra heat sinks that help keep the Siegfried cool.

Impressive fluff, it fits the setting as given to us via the post Jihad storyline stuff. The weapons do have the similar range profile as the old Stalker and are upgraded for more modern time frame.
Overall a decent mech. Could you maybe, if possible email me the HMPro file of this one?
