Usually artillery denotes indirect fire, which the gauss in all its forms are incapable of.
Though the wheeled configuration has limitations, its not an over all bad design but more of an upgraded scorpion then a poor mans artillery. To give it indirect fire support capabilities, the cheapest option would be to replace the LGR with LRMS.

The only reason I called it artillery is that the LGR has a very long range. Not because the rounds arches.
