Overview:
Inspired by the technological renaissance of the 3000's. A series of small
weapon companies and think tanks began to cooperate with the aim to build
innovative new mechs. Their out of the box approach and initial success
resulted in a new company Randam Mechwerks. Its first product was the
Liberator.

Capabilities:
The Liberator is a fast cavalry mech. Despite some resemblance to the Awesome,
especially the weapon loadout, the Liberator performs a different function.
While the Awesome is an assault and fire support mech, the Liberator is
designed to be a mobile weapons platform and sniper rather than the straight
firefight approach of the Awesome.

Powered by an XL-engine, the Liberator has a top speed of 84 kph, faster than
most heavy mechs available when it was first introduced in 3052. The armament
was simple, three standard PPCs. cooled by 14 double strength heat sinks. The
2G model of 3060 added an endo steel skeleton allowing the mech to mount more
heat sinks, armour and a pair of medium lasers for short range defense. The 3G
upgraded the electronics and communications suite and made improvements to the
armour layout to save on actuator wear while the 4G model replaced the medium
lasers with ER versions, but retained the standard PPCs as ER versions's heat
output was considered to be too much for the 16 double strength heat sinks.

Battle History:
The Liberator arrived at a time when the Inner Sphere was scrambling for troops
to stem the Clan Invasion. The fast and capable Liberator could not hope to
match Clan designs, but it performed well enough to sell in large numbers,
allowing Randam to expand its production capabilities and becoming a major
player over the next few decades.

Deployment:
Not tied to any of the Inner Sphere houses, Randam Mechwerks made the Liberator
available to all customers. Initial production ended up in the Lyran part of
the Federated Commonwealth and the Draconis Combine. Sales to the FWL and
Davion were good with the Capellan Confederation far behind, still recovering
from the onslaught it suffered in the 4th Succession War.

Variants:
Many field variants exist, usually replacing one or more PPCs with lasers or
missile launchers to broaden the combat abilities of the Liberator.

Good fluff and a well rounded mech. I can see this one fitting in nicely to the BT universe and having appeal to the players to use.
