------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Named after the ancient Terran Irish god of war, the Neit has seen an interesting path to reaching production. The design team had not real idea as to what they were going to come up with when the AFFS procurement board sent them a request for a medium mech that could stand up to the current forces facing the Federated Suns military.
A long list of things they did not want was attached and as was one twice as long as to what they did want. After several weeks of design meetings and long nights and arguements and several fights. The three design teams at Farben-Dupont finially had some idea of what they were going to do. They took what they felt was the best features of existing mechs, ran countless computer sims and began to build the prototypes of the NIT-900 Neit.
