------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== Kallong Industries created the second official incarnation of thier venerable Rifleman, despite rumors and attempted knockoffs from other factions. Weighing in at 100 tons, it is an upgunned version of the classic design fielding much heavier weapons and armor then its smaller brother.
==Capabilities:== Kallon Industries built the Rifleman II with simplicity in its intended role of providing direct fire support at a low cost. As such, it is built with a standard 300 Vlar engine for durability and has an average crusing speed for its weight. The endo steel frame is protected by 16 tons of Kallon Royalstar standard armor, enough protection from occasional weapon strikes, but will not nold up to prolonged or heavy combat.
The Rifleman II's striking power is provided by a Poland Main Model A Gauss Rifle paired with a Magna Sunspot ER PPC in each arm, tied into the accurate Garret D2j targeting computer. A pair of Magna Mk II Medium Lasers provide minimal close range defense. Four tons of ammo feed the gauss rifles from the legs rather then the torso, a feature from Kallon techs to facilitate quicker reloads out in the field. 14 double heatsinks can moderately manage the heat buildup of the ER PPC's.
==Variants:== Kallon has begin looking into several different variants to broaden sales to potentional customers.
The -2N utilizes a standard internal structure and replaces the engine with an XL version. The additional weight is used to add 3 double heatsinks and one and a half tons of armor. The -3N is a simple modification of -2N, dropping a heatsink for a C3 Slave in the head.
The -4N, still in the developmental stage and won't be available for production for another year, will utilize recent advances in weapon technology to upgrade the Rifleman's potentional even further. Based on the -3N and utilizing an XL engine, the Gauss Rifles are down graded to light versions of the same technology. To make up for loss of damage, each PPC will be mated with a capacitor. The medium lasers are upgraded to ER versions and the heat sink count will be 16 and 17.5 tons of armor. The greatest addition will be a C3 Master Computer, allowing its lance mates to provide close range targeting data.

I was cobbling together something for a mech and before I knew it, I had a PPC and Rifle in each arm and thought of the Rifleman. I think this would perform nicely for its overall low cost and heavy hitting firepower. Also like the -4N version I came up with, abit at over twice the price tag.
