Overview: The Winter Storm was first spotted in 3139 in the former Free Worlds League. Often seen escorting assault mechs, the Winter Storm is designed to engage threats such as infantry, tanks and enemy cavalry mechs threatening the flanks
Capabilities: The Winter Storm is somewhat unremarkable carrying a pair of Rotary AC/2 and twin Streak SRM-4 it lacks the punch often seen on 70-ton mechs, but it leaves the shooting to other units, using its firepower to deal with other threats and finish off those that have already been hit by other units.
With a top speed of just shy of 65kph and with a Jump range of 120m, the Winter Storm is fast enough to keep up with most assault mechs, while 13 tons of CASE enhanced standard plate give it ample protection for the large ammo stores. Six tons of ammo feed the twin AC/2's while four tons of missile ammo keep the SRM's fed for all but the most extensive operations. To round out the weaponry the Winter Storm is armed with four machineguns, allowing it to deal with infantry or other close-proximity targets.
The Winter Storm is most effective in dealing with tanks and infantry, and can rip out the guts of any damaged mech with deadly efficiency; the twin RAC's easily damaging the vulnerable areas or exposed internal structure of enemy mechs.
Battle History: The Winter Storm spread to the rest of the Inner Sphere and while it has only been available for a few years it appears to be popular often seen tagging along with Fafnirs, Devastators and Mad Cat II mechs.

Very interesting.
I don't think I've ever designed a 'mech that is purely ballistic weapons... And it just seems like quite the Powderkeg...
In light of that, I think the only change I'd personally make is to drop the Jump Jets and use the Four Tons from that to drop the XL engine to a Light Engine, just so when one of those ammo Blocks gets Torched, I still have a 'Mech to limp away.
Other than that, interesting Design that got me thinking.
