This design is a fast-attack hovertank, less expensive than a fusion Epona, but can do significantly more damage. 5 targeting-computer-accurized Medium Chemical Lasers combined with 12*3 iATM's at short range provide a considerable close range SMACK (61 potential dmg).

With the long range iATM ammo it can harass out to 27 hexes, longer than almost any other non-artillery weapon, with no wasted shots (streak).

7.5 tons of Ferro-Lamellor armor and LMGs in all arcs make it one of the best protected hover MBTs. Only real downside is that all weapons are ammunition dependent, which would be a problem in very long engagements.

What configurations would you other designers come up with, on a Fuel Cell hovertank (so no free heat sinks! also power amps required for energy weapons.) with 19 tons pod space (15 possible in the turret)?

This is pretty neat.

The only thing I'd prefer to change is the engine and maybe a slight modification in armor. Going to 9/14 like the original Epona only costs you about 1.5 tons, and add a half-ton of FL somewhere and you only lose a total of 2 tons of pod space (which is still a respectable 17 tons).

I think the Prime is illegal though. A 50 ton hovercraft with that armor tonnage and engine specs has 18.5 tons of pod tonnage and 14 crit slots. 4 iATMs+Ammo bin=5 slots, 4 LMGs+Ammo bin=5 slots, 5 lasers+Ammo bin=6 slots, TargComp=1 slot, for a sum of 17 slots used, which is too many.

Well after double checking that is one more thing I need to keep an eye out for on Skunk Armor Works. That design program doesn't make ammo bays take up item slots in vee's. Epona Fuel Cell A actually has 18 slots of equipment, (ferro-lammelor takes up 1). To fix the design I'd probably remove the LMG 'armor', its actual function is to reduce the chance of more-serious crits by putting a weapon in each arc. That takes the item count down to 13. The tonnage saved should probably go to an ECM and another ton of laser ammo (there's only 12 shots per laser, enough but not ideal.)

Good catch, I really wish there was an easy and good design program without various bugs.

It's a shame that Anti-Spalling Buffers aren't an official item yet.
