11th September 3055 – Arc Royal – The Death of Victor Steiner-Davion
The 10th Lyran Guards, Kell Hounds and Phelan’s Wolves engaged the Red Corsair and the 31st Wolf Solhama upon Arc Royal. During the Battle, however, Victor Steiner-Davion’s Battlemech’s primary weapons suite suddenly went off line leaving him in an exposed position to which elements of both the Red Corsair and the 31st Wolf Solhama utilized concentrated fire to bring him down.
Following the end of the Battle, in which both the Red Corsair and the 31st Wolf Solhama unit were destroyed to a man, an intensive investigation revealed that Victor’s Battlemch had been sabotaged.
Technician Karl Kole is captured by the Phelan’s Wolfs whilst attempting to flee Arc Royal and he is subsequently interrogated by them.
15th October, Melissa Steiner, as Archon-Princess of the Federated Commonwealth, has Ryan Steiner Assassinated in an apparent drug overdose whilst he was with his mistress.
Early November, Melissa initiates a re-armament program for the Federated Commonwealth to deal the the future wars with the Clans, and in particular that of the Clans Jade Falcon and Wolf, whom she views as being partly responsible for the death of her son Victor.
Katherine is appointed as heir apparent and Melissa Keeps her close as her deputy.
Re-Armament Programs Included:
• Increased spending upon Research and Development of new Weapons and Electronics Systems
• New Specialist Anti-Clan Regimental Combat Teams are formed;
• New Regimental Aerospace Combat Teams are formed;
• Second Generation Omni-Mech, Omni-Aerospace Fighter Programs and Power Armour Programs;
• Pocket Warship, Warships and Aerospace Fighter Carrier Warship Program;
• Increased the number of Commando Infantry Units;
• Advanced Infantry weapons Program – including Anti-elemental weapons; and
• Secretly – increasing the Federated Commonwealth’s nuclear stockpile.
Melissa’s subsequently utilises Camelot Command to increase the number of Partisan activities with the Clan Occupation Zone, whist at the same time increasing the number of units operating within the Deep Periphery – objectives Clan Re-supply facilities and supply lines – by utilising letters of Mark. Psy-Ops teams are also given approval to conduct operations within the Clan Occupation Zone.

Joshua Marik’s leukaemia becomes terminal and as a result Melissa orders a command circuit to be constructed to return him to his family as soon as it is possible to do so.
May 20th Joshua Marik dies upon the wold of Marik, surrounded by his family.
Late 3057: The Refusal War commences between that of Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon.

Early 3058: The Refusal War ended with Clan Jade Falcon’s decision in turning the Trial of Refusal into one of Absorption. That changed when Vlad emerged and initiated a Trial of Refusal against Khan Chistu.
However, Archon-Princess Melissa Steiner initiated Operation Reciprocity, taking advantage of both Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon’s weakened forces she dispatched her new RCTs together with many of her exiting units into the Clan Occupation Zone. As such prior to the commencement of the battle between Vlad and Khan Chistu they dropped onto the remaining their forces, inflicting heavy damage upon all their already damaged units.
Both Vlad of the Wolfs and Khan Chistu fell in combat, Marthe Pryde became Khan of Clan Jade Wolf, though at the same time half of the worlds within the Former Clan Occupation Zones were re-captured by the Federated Commonwealth over the ensuring six months.
At the same time Phelan Kell returned to Arc Royal with Three Wolf Galaxies where his father Morgan Kell granted them sanctuary – however, they were subsequently abjured by the remaining Clans, thus becoming Clan-Wolf in Exile.
February 28th: Word of Blake begins an assault on Terra
September 3058: Isis Marik moves to Tharkad with the announcement of her engagement to Peter Steiner-Davion
October 1st: The First Council of Lords Conference on Tharkad results in the resurrection of the Star League. The post of First Lord becomes purely ceremonial, where a majority of Council members is required to achieve a decision / action by the whole.

November 14th: Precentor Martial Anastasius Focht presents the location of the Clan Home worlds.
Intervening Time
All members of the SLDF utilise the time before the end of the truc to maximise their forces through re-armament programs, together with an intensive Research and Development program.
Continued Partisan activity / raiding etc is utilised to keep the remaining Clans off balance – multiple attacks within the Deep Periphery continue to deny the Clans of valuable re-supply convoys.
One Clan Invades another to prove their martial competence.
Clan Jade Wolf attempts multiple strikes within the Lyran half of the Federated Commonwealth.

February – Word of Blake admitted into the Star League – WOB provides the SLDF with advanced Military Technology that is quickly added to their units.

By the time of the start of the Operation Bulldog 13 WOB Shadow Divisions are added to the list of the SLDF.
August 13th: Clan Nova Cat defects to the Star League which leads to its Abjurement.
September 1st: Clan Ghost Bear defects to the Star League which Leads to its Abjuremnt.
September 15th: Task Force Bulldog, led by Focht and Morgan Hasek-Davion initiate war upon the remaining Clan Forces.
