What the heck does a capcitator do for you? As far as I can tell from the Drawing Board, all it does is wiegh more, take more crits, and make five moer heat than usual. Range and damgae remain the same. WHAT and WHY please
"But it SHOULD be a spectacle! It should be grand and exciting to us all! I'd hate to think that we've become so jaded that we find even our greatest tiumph, resurrecting the Star League, simply one more obligation."

A PPC Capacitor weighs one crit and it attached to the weapon (much like an Artemis IV FCS). It charges over one round and discharges the next, generates heat when it discharges, when it is holding a charge or when charging up. The benefit is that when it discharges it increases the potential damage of a PPC by 5 (at the cost of 5 extra heat). It was designed by IS scientists to make up the gap between IS and Clan technology but I am sure some useless munch has added the probably incompatable technology to a Clan ER PPC.

Also when using the weapon if the player rolls a double 1 to-hit the weapon itself malfunctions due to the stress of firing beyond its standard limit. This automatically 'crits' the weapon and regardless of rules being used is out for the rest of the battle (yes this includes expanded critical damage from the same rulebook).

If the Capacitor is critted the round it is charging up or holding a charge (not discharging) then it will explode like a ammo explosion causing 15 points internal damage.

There is more negatives than positived with this weapon so the best idea is to test it out and see if it works for you if you are into using lvl3 equipment.

In addition to all that, it also increases the PPC's or ER PPC's damage by 5 points.
