Users who have changed themselves to invisible in their profile will not show up.

The above is kind of silly. It makes me wonder if some folks are afraid to show others that they are on or that they are a part of this board.

If you need to hide then why be here? Let me ask this do you walk into a room and go sit in a dark conner? I know I don't and if someone checks the Who Online and sees I am there so what.

I think Nic should remove this feature since it doesn't offer anything to any one and it's a really silly way to take part.

I agree. If you don't want people to see you're on a BT forum site, then just don't go on it. Besides, it isn't like some person you try to avoid in real life will come on, check who's online, and then recognize your post name and try to annoy you.

If they do that, just tell 'em to shut their holes. Who really cares, anyway? It isn't like they're gonna kill you if they see you're online.
Drugs don't kill people, pancreatic cancer kills people.

... and whoever heard of a drug that causes pancreatic cancer?

Yes I agree.

However I just checked my profile and guess what I was invisible.

The "show up on line" was clicked "NO". The "show forum viewing" was clicked "NO". The "accept instant messages" was clicked "YES". Kind of silly, eh?

So, how would you guys know to send me an instant message if I am invisible on Who's on-line. The only way you would know I was here is if we were posting messages on a forum back and forth.

I do not remember setting those preferences, maybe they are the default settings. Maybe, I did set them and I just don't remember, however why I would want to hide but still accept messages does not make sense.

Some people like to lurk. Who knows? Maybe they have been playing Thief or Heavy Gear 2 for too long
Yea, verily. Let it be known far and wide that Nightward loathes MW: DA. Indeed, it is with the BURNING ANIMUS OF A THOUSAND SUNS that he doth rage against it with.
