It seems to me that there are pretty much only two routes you can go with a really light fighter: maximize close-in firepower ("HBK-4P of the skies"), or make a "Pack Hunter ASF" or Seydlitz-alike with one big, long-range gun and the thrust to stay at that range.
And it just so happens you have 7 tons of weapons... So, if not an ER PPC, what about the first route? You have 20 heat dissipation and no space limits, so I'd say go for the most effective SR weapons you can: Medium Lasers. You can squeeze all 7 on (5 front, 1 each wing) and odds are, since you'll probably only bear with one wing at a time, that you'll still stay under 20 heat.
But irrespective of those two (the latter is simply a tweak of the current config) the current config does look pretty good. Switching the SRMs to MLs will up your firepower some, but not astonishingly, and will lose the ground-attack crit-hunting and inferno-carrying capability. It *will* give you a *wicked* strafe, though.

Actually there are space limits in each section of the fighter...only so much can be placed in there.

Yeah, that was why I suggested the 5 front, 1 each wing idea (instead of my preference of all front) for the 7ML idea. Fighter FCS limits are 5/arc (4/wing with FA), right?
