Issued to only elite units, the Warden saw active service for only a decade before being decommissioned from from front line combat due too many casualties. Many units were assigned to garrision and militia units, often the the only defending force from Amaris's forces. Every existing unit was destroyed and none are known to exsist today. - Capabilities: - The WRD-500x was the result from several attempts at power armor. The first proto-types lacked suffient power sources to move even at half the projected speeds. The later models suffered from exposed cockpits, bulky armor plates restricting movement, and faulty life support systems. - The final model weighed in at 15 tons, enough weight to allow the machine to run at speeds of your average heavy mech and carry suffient firepower to stop light mechs with a few hits. Four firestone Radial 6s jumpjets allow the mech to jump up to 120 meters. The Warden carries only 2 tons of SimplePlate armor, just enough to stop small arms fire. - History: - The Warden was originaly designated the Hunter XMG, but after being deligated to militias it earned the name Warden in the Star League Armory TO&E. Many redneck pilots became very good at handling the machines and turned down offers to pilot real mechs out of a sense of fierce loyalty. Many of the pilots died in the early fighting of the Armaris coup defending their homelands. - The Warden was often deployed in companies inside of cities, where their size and mobility would bog down invading troops. - - WRD-005x-03D Warden - Technology Base: - Inner Sphere - Level 1 Equipment Mass Internal Structure: 1.5 Engine: 60 1.5 Walking MP: 4 Running MP: 6 Jumping MP: 4 Heat Sinks: 10 0 Gyro: 1 Cockpit: 3 Armor Factor: 32 2

blurb: just recently found my old Heavy Gear (1) game in the closet. I think of the Gears as having the fire power of a medium or heavy mech packed in the size of an elemental. I always liked the conscept.
