==Overview:==
The Raptor Class Carrier is a varient of the Gryphon Class Battlecruiser,
and shares many of the same features as the Battlecruiser, but with a
reduction in main weapons to allow for the increase of the fighter compliment
and secondary weapons compliment.
The decision for building the Raptor on the hull of the Gryphon Class
Battlecruiser was that of ease of logistics by being built from the same stock
design, the 2 ship classes would be assured of a steady flow of repair parts
and refit capabilities, instead of producing parts for 2 different designs.
