Desription: The Stable Enhanced Imaging system was a semi-succesful attemp to create an EI system without the drawbacks of the orginal system. The biggest change is that there is no longer the problem of neural degredation, instead the user only needs to worry about his character having major headaches if he/she does not take medication.
Effects: (follow rules for EI neural implant on p. 112 of Lostech, with the following exceptions)
--If the BOD/WIL check fails the player takes 1D6+2 pts. of damage (armor has no effect)
--Piloting/Battlesuit checks recieve a -2 TN modifier
Drawbacks: (do not use Lostech rules)
--Characters recieve the trait; Addiction (2): Neural Inhibitors. This represents the medication needed to avoid the headaches caused by the implants. (see below)
--The Addiction trait rules differ from the normal rules in the following ways:
1)The standard modifiers that take effect after 24 & 48 hours only take effect if the character uses the EI implant after a 24 hr. period without his/her medication. These effects persist until the character takes the medication.
2) The effect do not double after 72 hrs.
3) If the character has gone 24 hrs. without medication and uses the EI system for more than 4 hrs. straght, he/she will gain 1 pt. of fatigue every 45 minutes (i.e. 1 pt. at 4hrs., & 1 pt. every 45 minutes after that), this fatigue is gained even if the character is not using the EI after the 4 hr. mark. Fatigue gained in this way is not permenent.

Are thier any detriments if someone who has used it for long time looses access to it? It would seem that the sudden change would cause problems in complex time preasured environments like combat.
