No advanced lasers? Another cold mech as well. Still not to much different from the original. A medium laser changed from the mgs. But only a small laser for the mg ammo.
Without looking, did you add half ton ammo for the other half of the mg ammo?
It is very usable.

I used a variant of the mech that already had lasers and no MGs.
High tech doesn't mean everything has to be advanced, this has several things on it that are high tech.

Still, this would benefit greatly from an ERLL.

Nope it would not, since I did not have any plans to upgrade the weapons, again this follows how many of the mechs in the TRO2750 didn't have every weapon replaced with higher tech ones, good example is the Crab.

Yes, it would, the LL has much better range brackets than even the PPC...
EDIT:The ERLL would have the better range brackets.

And it has the LL. Which is what I wanted it to have. It's not about maxing everything out Retry.

You just said it wouldn't benefit, now you're saying you're just not maxing it. Which is it then?

Were did I say it would not benefit? I said it wasn't the route I was going with the mech, and that I am not trying max it out by using the higher tech weapons when I have already put Endo, Ferro and DHS on it, which is more then enough to allow the mech to operate better.

I am not seeing the benefit since the point, yet again, was not to over tech the mech, but use items a bit smarter then just replacing to replace things.
Now let me ask this Retry do you have to win at all cost when you play and if you can't win you do all you can to hurt the other side out of spite?

Have you seen the project omega tro?
You do not have to have everything min/maxed to play with it. The advanced lasers would be great to have on it, but not everyone agrees with it. Do you use er or pulse? The omega used heavy lasers on it. An upgrade does not mean it has to have all the new tech with it.
As with everything else. If you don't like it, don't use it.
Also put up your version.

I'd still go with a PPC. That way you've got built-in tonnage to upgrade to an ER PPC.
Of course, if you're stuck with a Large Laser's tonnage for the main gun...an ER LL is an adequate drop-in replacement, assuming you've got DHS.

Of course, TRO:3050 abounds with 'Mechs carrying ERLLs and ERPPCs that would actually be much more effective without the upgrade. Even DHS have limits.

Seen it in a store years ago. Don't know if they kept it official or if they want to ignore it. I flipped thru it, and saw a few mechs. The phoenix hawk was one that I remembered somewhat.

The sense that you do things like add in heat sinks to soak up crits makes it look like you do things to spite your enemy. You have stated that you do put in things to make sure you opponent has a horrible time trying to get the crit to slow you down.
Alot of it seems to have no other reason to do so except that fact.
It may explain why people don't want to play against you. Only one spot in 12 can do any real damage. The rest are all do nothing items. It give that impression. If you want to say my comment is a personal attack, I am fine with it.
It is not meant to be. I am hoping to give you a chance to see what some people here might be.
I ran into problems like this when I played Dungeons and Dragons. The person tried to make the untouchable, but un able to miss character. It took the fun out of the game. After a while, we stopped dealing with the person.
This is a game. This is as much for everyone else. It is a game.

'scuse me, but what?
The DHS crap in the other thread didn't pop up until a while after Karagin posted the aforementioned comment. So how could it have reason to do with his comment?
Speaking of which, it's his comment I have a quarrel with, not you at all. Are you by any chance using the Threaded view?
I don't have an issue getting people to play. I choose not to bother my IRL friends; I know in advance they wouldn't be interested. Actually, I've already gotten 2 people in the interwebz interested in MM last month, at least one for certain and in the process "tutorializing" the other one.
And neither have any problems with others having the ingenuity to minimize damages dealt by effects like crits.
