He has a long-term presence here (4 years now) and his knowledge and critique of policies have been put to great use here, especially in the past year. He has had to play the 'hammer' in a few instances that solicited unwarranted responses, but his actions were justified and necessary. I think the intent of the Outstanding Member award is to recognize those that don't perfectly fit into any one category or -when overshadowed in specific areas- should be recognized for the overall and continuing efforts. Most registered editors here are active on CBT.com as well. The BattleTech community at large seems to be increasingly aware of BTW, and using it as a reference. Some detractors will always dismiss a wiki for being a wiki, of course, and there's no denying that the massive quantity of articles here includes some with quality issues. The best "Ambassador" for BTW, in my opinion, is he who strives to improve BTW with good quality articles and edits, to further establish it as the BT site to check for... anything BT, really. He's running the show on the technical real-world side, provides the hosting, laid all the groundwork, and was humble enough not to nominate himself for an award so far. His high levels of research and data entry have added value to many otherwise lackluster articles and his efforts had really improved to the point that they rarely need editing to meet established and accepted standards. His datamining has resulted in a lot of unit articles having information (such as deployments and references) that should be standard across the board. He's also enthusiastic in regards to taking correction from others and incorporating that new direction into improving his further efforts. He has also had good ideas to improve the value of the various template infoboxes and remained involved in those improvements.
