In the first week of November 3068, the ''Bordeaux'' was defending Orestes when Blakist forces attacked the planet. The Flatus, after the raising of Fortress Republic, became the sole WarShip of the [[Republic Remnant]], fighting the [[Clan Wolf]] Invasion of the [[Dubhe]] system. She destroyed two Wolf [[DropShips]] before being critically damaged. Wolf troops boarded the vessel, taking it with heavy casualties under the fierce Fidelis defense. When they reached the bridge, however, it was too late; the last crew members had left it and made the ship self-destruct, killing all Wolf troops on board and damaging several of their nearby DropShips.<ref>''Shattered Fortress'' p. 70</ref>
