When originally released, Ral Partha produced these miniatures using a lead alloy. In 1993 Ral Partha converted from lead alloy to Ralidium, its own special formulation of lead-free pewter with no change in the catalog code. Some time after this conversion, Ral Partha temporarily produced a version of this set using a combination of Ralidium and Partha Plastic, a type of resin.
