The Linebacker was not a very well conceived idea. The MadCat was already the optimal for a BattleMech that weighed 75 tons. If it can't keep up it's because yes smaller mechs are going to be running from it. That is for clan light and medium mechs to deal with, not the 75 ton TimberWolf.
