This was an all energy Thug designed to allow the mech to operate behind enemy lines for extended operations. The srm6s, ammo, and CASE have been removed to allow installation of a large pulse laser, and two medium lasers.  The modifications, which were being planned for operations for the SLDF verses the unknown periphery forces currently in rebellion against the “peacekeeping” forces occupying the Taurian Concordat. The 2 units that were sent for extended field testing were “lost in transit” somewhere in the Cappellan March. Roughly 380 years later, one of the units turned up in a periphery mercenary unit “Riley’s Rapid Assault Team” also known as the “R.A.T.
