*** What we could do is still have the articles for [[Codex]], but as the text of the [[Codex]] article we use the <nowiki>#REDIRECT [[Dictionary#C]]</nowiki> tag to redirect to the dictionary.  That way, users can enter codex, but they're automatically redirected to the dictionary.  I envision the dictionary as holding terms a paragraph and smaller, while articles hold terms that need more than one paragraph. ****Sounds good.  Thanks for the help.  What really needs to be done on this Wiki? [[User:Bheiss|Bheiss]] 19:56, 17 October 2006 (CDT)

***** I'd say where ever you think work needs to be done, jump right in. At this point there is SO much to do, that anyone grabbing a line and pulling it will help direct where the wiki goes in the future. But, if you're interested in nothing in particular, I'd recommend go to the [[Special:Wantedpages|Wanted pages]] and clicking on a link that interest you and writing something. The ones at the top of the list have the most links in other articles, so hitting them first will do the most (relative) good. Nic and I will keep an eye on the early stages of the wiki, and will help guide you if you need it. One hint: go to your '''Preferences''' link (at the top of each page), select the '''Editing''' tab and then check the '''Show edit toolbar (JavaScript)''', '''Add pages I create to my watchlist''' and '''Add pages I edit to my watchlist''' options. That way, when you come back, you can see what others have done to articles you created and edited, automatically. The first option also gives you some great tools for easily marking articles as you edit them. Please, contact either of us on our talk pages or on the [[BattleTechWiki:Administrators|Contact An Admin]] page, if you have any questions or problems. We appreciate all the help you can provide and want to make it easy for you to do whatever it is you'll do. --[[User:Revanche|Revanche]] 20:09, 17 October 2006 (CDT)

Sounds good. Thanks for the helpWhat really needs to be done on this Wiki?
I almost edited over your work; I wasn't aware we were both looking at it at the same time. Here's something you can do to easily use a name you want to use, but point at a differently worded article. Say you want to use '''Smoke Jaguar Clan''', because that reads better than '''Clan Smoke Jaguar.''' However, '''Clan Smoke Jaguar''' is the name of the article. You can easily point to the right one by placing it in the first half of the wikilink, followed by a pipe ( | ) and then the name you want: '''<nowiki>[[Clan Smoke Jaguar | Smoke Jaguar Clan]]</nowiki>'''. When it gets saved, the article will say '''Clan Smoke Jaguar,''' but point to the right name.<br>

Hope that helps make your editing (and article creation) easier. --[[User:Revanche|Revanche]] ([[User_talk:Revanche|talk]]|[[Special:Contributions/Revanche|contribs]]) 17:31, 15 February 2007 (CST)
