:::No problem. Glad I could help. :) I think that's Chicago Manual of Style, but I'll double-check when I get home. The joys of having gone to grad school. :) As for the CBT stuff, that's too bad. I haven't played in a while officially. Maybe next time I'm in the UK, I'll let you know and we can play. :) I warn you, though - it might be a while. :::The other thing you may be forced into doing is converting your friends into playing. :) That's pretty much what happened with me - my friend had been playing in HS and then got me started in college. I converted several of my friends to playing it and it kinda snowballed from there. Good luck! Bdevoe 12:06, 18 September 2007 (CDT)

Vandalism
Given the rash of vandalism we're experiencing, is it possible to make it so you have to sign up to post? Whilst I doubt it would stop the vandal/s, it might slow them down a tad, and might give us something more concrete to block. --Kittle 01:43, 16 October 2007 (CDT)

:I think it might be worthwhile. I've spent many an hour correcting vandalism (as has Scaletail). I'll post something on Nic's user page about it. Bdevoe 12:36, 16 October 2007 (CDT)

::Btw - thanks for helping revert that vandalism! You're becoming a regular admin. ;) --Bdevoe 13:51, 16 October 2007 (CDT)

:I don't think that it is fair to prevent all unregistered individuals from editing the site. Many of them have made real contributions, I myself made at least a hundred edits (I have obsessive compulsive disorder) before I registered, and I have never once vandalized an article on this wiki. I do believe that vandalism has gotten out of hand, and that we need to ban repeat offenders. DragonoftheRust

::Odd. You've used both American and Proper English† spelling in the same sentence! ("Vandalized" and "vandalism" respectively.) Not something that I'd expect from someone with OCD. Er… I'll go get back on topic. I agree with you and coincidentally left a message to that effect sometime earlier today.

::† …I'm only semi-serious 'bout that, BTW. I advocate using American spelling on this particular wiki due to a mixture of practicality, combined with my own laziness and a simple lack of motivation to proselytise the unwashed masses.‡

::‡ A side-note for a side-note? Ugh. I have the foreboding feeling that my attempts to jest will result in someone taking it the wrong way. If I've piqued anyone's curiosity about my stance on the dichotomy of the English language, I'll respond to inquiries on my talk page instead of wasting more of Kittle's. (Sorry 'bout that Kittle, I get chatty at this hour.)

Okay, I'm feeling kind of dense. What do I do when there's a vandalised page, and the only entry is the vandalism? Kittle 09:07, 29 October 2007 (CDT)

:Replace all the content with
deletion
. --Xoid 17:12, 29 October 2007 (CDT)

Black Widow Company on New Aberdeen
I have seen that you edited my BWC article, and replaced Remis III with New Aberdeen as the site of the battle that is presented as a playable scenario in the original CBT rulebook. Since I have been trying to nail down where Remis III is (it is a "lost" planet, see :Category talk:Planets, I am very interested in the source of this information. Can you shed some more light on this? Frabby 11:37, 21 January 2008 (CST)

:Sorry about not replying for so long. I've been ill again and so not able to keep track of things. I used the roster as set out in the Tales of the Black Widow Company source book. The New Aberdeen battle is the second scenario in the book, and the easiest to say with certainty that it was fought against Davion troops during the time period mentioned. I didn't know that there were other sources of information on the Black Widows used because there weren't any other texts mentioned in the references section, and I only have access to the current rulebooks and the pdfs you can buy online. I think that was my reasoning at the time anyway. As I say, I've been ill so anything over a couple of weeks ago is really really hazy. Kittle 15:33, 28 February 2008 (CST)
