Welcome to the newly-created '''BattleTechWiki: Project Factions'''. Because of the importance of factions and faction events to the [[BattleTech]] universe, this project has been created to try and improve the overall quality of all articles relating to factions and faction events. 

Our goals are:

*Create all required faction articles in the BattleTech Universe.
**Standardize the layouts of said articles where required.
***To hold the articles to a high standard of quality in terms of spelling, grammar, and links to other articles.
****Create a full template for any new faction articles when required.

*Create articles for all major faction events in the BattleTech universe.
**Improve the quality of said articles.

There is a problem currently with the categories for the factions; as CBT factions are sandwiched into their own category of Category: CBT Factions, while other factions such as the [[Republic of the Sphere]] are sandwiched into a different category called: Category: Factions. Because this Project encompasses all factions regardless of whether they are CBT or Dark Age, factions should be listed in a single category entitled "Factions". This is low priority, but should be taken care of eventually (note that there may in fact be excellent reasons for having two categories, so try and reach a consensus before making a major change such as that.)
