== System History ==
The Bossangoa system was either settled during the [[Star League era]] at some point after the end of the [[Reunification War]] or was an already-settled system that became significant enough to cause [[Inner Sphere]] nations to record its location.<ref name="H:RWp159"/><ref name="HB:MPSp147"/> Bossangoa vanished from maps during the [[First Succession War]];<ref name="FSWp24"/><ref name="H:LOTV2p122"/><ref name="FSWp112"/> in many ways, Bossangoa's fate was typical of that of many [[Periphery]] colonies in the First Succession War. The [[Periphery Uprising]] reduced trade from the [[Inner Sphere]] significantly, something that the [[Amaris Civil War]] further curtailed. When the First Succession War erupted, trade from the [[Great House]]s stopped, as each devoted their economies to the war efforts, and the independent traders still trading in the Periphery were able to pick up just a tiny fraction of the volume of trade many systems depended on.
