El Giza is a world of purple Fronds[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fronds] instead of conventional trees or grasses. The Heather - as its known to locals - grows up to between three and four meters tall. The inhabitants communities are almost hidden by the Heather at the bottom of valleys that dot the landscape. In [[3082]] El Giza was defended by the [[Fourth Andurien Cavalry]] as a part of the defense pact between the Mosiro Archipelago and the Duchy of Andurien; late in that year, a Capellan Confederation [[BattleMech]] [[company]] arrived on world as part of an effort by the Confederation to wedge a new border between the Confederation, the Duchy of Andurien and the nearby Oriente Protectorate. The Andurien Cavalry tracked the Capellan forces and dispatched a lance of new [[Aeron|Aeron Strike VTOLs]] to intercept the Capellan troops as they attempted to meet up with their [[DropShip]].
