==Overview== Halfway between ''MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries''' procedurally generated Contracts and the story-progressing [[MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries/Campaign Missions|Campaign Missions]], '''High Reward Quests''' (HRQs) are scripted missions with increased difficulty and enhanced rewards. Though they feature scripted lines from Cavaliers Operations Officer [[Ryana Campbell]] and others, they are not fully scripted like the Campaign Missions and thus still have a degree of variability in map design and enemy 'Mech selection in each playthrough. The HRQs introduced in the DLCs, however, feature a larger degree of preset events and more missions with enhanced, unique map layouts. Similar to the [[BattleTech (Video Game)|''BattleTech'' video game's]] [[BattleTech (Video Game)/Flashpoints|Flashpoints]], MW5's HRQs are mini-stories often relating to background topics from the BattleTech universe. Unlike [[MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries#Mission Types|Multi-Mission Operations]], HRQ missions do not have to be completed consecutively and will generally take place across multiple systems inside the same [[MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries/Conflict Zones|Conflict Zone]]. They will openly list the [[C-bill]] and Reputation rewards they offer, but will sometimes hide any additional rewards until the completion of the final mission. These predetermined, hidden bonuses are listed below. While most quests are for a single employer, some give the player the option of choosing only one set of missions from two opposing [[MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries/Factions|factions]] or allow the player to change sides before the final mission. Additionally, there are some quests with missions that do not have to be played in any particular order. Most HRQs require the player to reach the specific Reputation Level of the Conflict Zone in which they are hosted. Unlike the time-locked, linear campaign missions offered with the DLCs, they do not expire so it is possible to return to them later, even after the Campaign is completed. The HRQ rewards, difficulty, and tonnage restrictions do not scale and are static.
