::Thanks Doneve.  I'll ask them.  I have an account there, but since I got busy writing here I haven't had a chance to check up there much.  But I will ask the authors about this one for sure.  I think what I have is accurate but I'll change it if not. Thanks for looking out for these pages and taking care of the little things I forget, man.  It will be a little while before I get it all down.  --Rebs 17:16, 31 March 2012 (PDT)

:::I am unfamiliar with this character, so I don't want to go into detail, but saying that he is "Khan" could also mean he is "saKhan" unless that distinction is made explicit. --Scaletail 10:06, 1 April 2012 (PDT)

::::Yes, there certainly is ambiguity in the use of the terms.  But that ambiguity is much less in the manuals and sourcebooks than it is in the novels.  In most cases(as per the sourcebooks), saKhans are saKhans and Khans are Khans in Invading Clans, Warden Clans and Crusader Clans.  In the section "The Renaissance Spreads", p41 (FM: Warden Clans), it goes into great detail about his defense of the OmniMech and explicitly calls him Khan Tchernovkov several times in different paragraphs throughout. He seems to have ascended to Khan, but at what point was what I wondered and asked at the BT forum. I keep checking every couple hours, and when they tell me one way or the other, I'll make the changes here first before anything else.  Edit: I also checked the writing and that section was indeed done by 2 authors (yet another edit: Hugh Brown is listed as the second author attached to the section, he never did anything else for the BT universe again, makes one wonder why also.), so perhaps there was a miscommunication of events and positions of characters involved. --Rebs 10:57, 1 April 2012 (PDT)

:::::Hey guys, I figure you were right Scaletail, if it is in the book, I should stick to that until word comes down from the bigs about what dates are correct and the like.  I still have the feeling a few things are not right with the entry, so I did a good, fairly clean edit to change what needed to be done to fit what is in FM: Warden Clans. It's only a click or two away anyway.  Back to writing.  --Rebs 19:22, 1 April 2012 (PDT)

OK!  I got my answer and there was confusion somewere during the writing/publication process.    Still waiting  for confirmation that he was saKhan when Dana Kufahl stepped down, but it seems likely that that was how it went.  --Rebs 14:39, 5 April 2012 (PDT)
