Event
Might it be worth re-writing this as a historical event? --Dmon 18:06, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

:At first glance, I'm with you. However -discussion point- after Jihad Conspiracies: Interstellar Players 2 and before Historical: Operation Klondike, the idea that the Minnesota Tribe was absolutely the Wolverines seemed to be only a component of a conspiracy theory surrounding the Word of Blake. Are you suggesting writing it as a 'confirmed' correlation to 'powers' within the WOB, or just write it as confirmed Wolverine encounter on its own?--Revanche (talk|contribs) 19:31, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Proposal
I believe there is sufficient evidence to consider the Minnesota Tribe/Clan Wolverine connection to be factual as opposed to rumor. Opposed? ClanWolverine101 05:02, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

:Opposed unless shown official out of universe sources which outright claim it as fact, so far we still just have in-universe Canon Rumor sources like Explorer Corps or Jihad Secrets: The Blake Documents which make the claim at the same time as claiming it as rumor and hypothesis. Cyc 05:16, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

::True - but : The dead Tribe mechwarriors had wolverine fur on their jackets? Really? Its the ultimate boogey-man. They've made it beyond obvious that they are one and the same, they just haven't come out and acknowledged it as fact. Are we bound by this? ClanWolverine101 05:30, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

:::I tend to agree that, given the overwhelming evidence, the Minnesota Tribe should be treated as Wolverines. However, the article needs to also mention the lack of an ultimate confirmation for this very solid thesis. Frabby 08:15, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

:::: Fair. Others? ClanWolverine101 16:10, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

:::::I agree with Frabby's comment. "It's strongly suspected, but not confirmed, that the..." or something like that.--Mbear 17:16, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

::::::I was going to go with "There is overwhelming evidence that the Minnesota Tribe were the Clan Wolverine survivors, though it has never been conclusively stated by the developers." That work? ClanWolverine101 17:54, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Rumors about the Tribe
I read somewhere that Clan Diamond Shark (later Clan Sea Fox) has some sort of relationship with the Tribe.

I ran across this OLD (9 year old) web page about the 331st & the Tribe: http://ppc.warhawkenterprises.com/theclans/minnesotatribe.html

Just how much of this information is "canon"? And I wonder where this chap got his information...

Aye, a good read to be sure, but I've never seen some of it anywhere else! Lord Pestilence 01:40, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

:There is also the Tribe's "official" website: http://www.minnesotatribe.com

:I'm sure a lot of the info on that site is fanon, but some of it is the same of what we have here on BTW. Nonetheless, the articles are also an interesting read. Lord Pestilence 01:49, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

::I was going to read the first one, but the green-on-black is threatening to give me a headache. It seems to be the official Clan history of the Annihilation, not the "true" story related in Betrayal of Ideals. --Scaletail 02:33, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

:::Ahhh...good old monochrome green!

:::Is the official Clan version of the Tribe's story considered canon, and if so, which book is it mentioned in? Argh! I wish I had more sourcebooks! But then again, don't we all? lol Lord Pestilence 02:56, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

::::The Clans: Warriors of Kerensky, Betrayal of Ideals, Jihad Secrets: The Blake Documents. You should also check out the "Bibliography" sections of this article and Clan Wolverine. --Scaletail 23:05, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

::::: I'm hoping to get my hands on a copy of Jihad Secrets. This subject is of particular interest to me....

::::: ... not for any particular reason. :P ClanWolverine101 23:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

:::::Thanks Scaletail. :) lol CW...me too. I need to conduct some weekend raids on the local half-price bookstores to find some CBT sourcebooks.

:::::Someday the Tribe will return. The keyword is "someday"...lol.

:::::"Shall the Tribe be our saviors, or our destroyers?" -LordPestilence

From Valentina Sysem to the Appian System
I know it would have to have the Apocryphal tag on it, but for the jumpship Dobrev to be part of the Minnesota Tribe Fleet last seen in the Valentina system on a clear path to the Outworld's Alliance; and for it to end up in the Appian system in the Battletech Video Game, seems like something that could be part of this article?  Orc Warrior (talk)

: You could easily note it also in the Notes section, Orc Warrior. As long as you mentioned "apocryphal", you would not have to use the tag.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 10:23, 11 August 2022 (EDT)
