It is just too funny that the Pleiades are a real star cluster. So after i discovered this pic I had to add it. If only the NASA knew, that one day humankind will fight for it. :-) Harry 08:32, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

:I'm OK with the real-life info, but I would hasten to point out there are many systems and factions in the BattleTech Universe named after real stars and constellations, many of which are sequential along the galactic cloud (if you look up and trace along the galactic cloud, you see Lyra, Rasalhague, Vega, Draco, Pleiades, Taurus, Pollux in that order and I'm probably missing a couple.  This sequence corresponds to clockwise turn around the Inner Sphere.  Other examples include the closest stars to Sol, Archenar, Arcturus, Alpheratz, Canopus, Circinus, Crucis (Southern Cross) and Capella (although Crucis is out of place - it really should be in Marik space)...--S.gage 05:38, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

::You are right. I only added real life information that seemed compatible with the BattleTech universe, like the composition and the looks oft the cluster. I know that the position of the Pleiades of BattleTech is not the same as in reality. But why not add some further background as long as it is not explicity declared to be false in the BattleTech universe? Harry 11:59, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

:Jumping in on this (a bit late, I realize). BTW is not Wikipedia, so real world information has no bearing in the primary portions of this article, even if cited. Instead, we can add any real world 'trivia' to the Notes section, where the citations of true sources would be appropriate. I intend to get into this article and do two things: move true facts to that Notes section and delete any uncited statements that cannot be properly attributed to the current references. Fortunately, someone has shown a great deal of care in listing the appropriate sources, which will be helpful.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 13:11, 28 March 2012 (PDT)
