"Task Force Serpent" seems to be the more commonly-used term, and often refers to the operation. The operation itself doesn't fit cleanly into the framework used for military engagements, as it took place over a long period of time and saw action against multiple opponents. − I'm not in a hurry to split the article again to make the distinction, but I believe the idea has some merit.
