:::::We don't.... until a later book tells us so, same as with the earlier ISPs and the Jihad Hot Spots. Think of it like The Periphery (sourcebook), Luthien! or the original Objective Raids, we know its of questionable providence but until later sources dispute and supersede it, its canon as far as we know.Cyc (talk) 15:01, 26 June 2014 (PDT)

System Renaming
{{Quote|I know from past conversations here that Periphery systems have a tendency to vanish from maps not just because the colonies there have died off, but also because the systems there are of no significance or are not noteworthy enough to appear on maps, and that some systems reappear later on. The Magistracy of Canopus has a few systems like Wildwood that hop on and off maps from the Star League era through to 3130.<br>

Thanks to the quality of the maps available now and the availability of the books in PDF format, it's possible to overlay copies of maps onto each other and scale them to the same scale using established systems as a reference points, and doing so for former provinces of the Rim Worlds Republic and the Map of the Inner Sphere 3130 shows a number of systems with different names that share the same location on the two maps. I was wondering if it's possible to confirm if they are in fact the same?<br>

The systems I've been looking at are:<br>

* The RWR system of Erin/Von Strang's World in the Barrens

* The RWR system of Port Vail/The Rack in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Dijonne/Pain in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Lywick/Ferreusvirgo in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Lushun/Jibbet in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Oporto/Veil in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Austerlitz/Scauld in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Anatolia/Pillory in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Edirne/Brank in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Seven Lands/Garotte in the Rim Territories

* The RWR system of Helbrent/Andiron in the area which used to form the Circinus Federation

* The RWR system of Himmels/Balthazar III in the area which used to form the Circinus Federation

* The RWR system of Iolas/Deidre's Den in the area which used to form the Circinus Federation

* The RWR system of Green Stone/Clayborne II in the area which used to form the Circinus Federation|BrokenMnemonic, Ask The Writers Forum, 10 Aug 2011}}
