Hey ENOVA, before you get too far down the rabbit hole with your Major Factory Worlds I just want to check that you know about this :Category:Manufacturing Centers, potentially save you a lot of work.--Dmon (talk) 17:45, 12 June 2019 (EDT)

:What he said. Also, there are a few problems with the article - it doesn't give a timeframe, it doesn't offer a definition of what constitutes a "major" factory world, and some information is... wonky. The worst problem is that the information is time-sensitive in the sense that factory worlds come and go and change hands a lot. Case in point, the Clan Wolf Occupation zone. It has moved across the map a lot. Gorton, Kingsley, and Thorpe Enterprises was actually an iconic Draconis Combine manufacturer, and the New Oslo plant was gutted when Clan Wolf took the planet. In any case, the "first 'Mech" (Imp, 2825) predates the Clan Wolf Occupation Zone by 225 years. This just makes no sense - or worse (from a Wiki standpoint), it is misleading.

:Ultimately, my impression is that the manufacturing center list isn't a suitable topic for a BTW article. Frabby (talk) 08:47, 13 June 2019 (EDT)

Harjel
I see you updated this image containing game rules for Harjel: :File:HarJel.jpg. Is that taken directly from a book? (I can't seem to find which it might be.) If it is, that is plagiarism and is not allowed on this site. --Cache (talk) 22:24, 24 June 2019 (EDT)

:Having had a look at the file... Even if it is not plagiarised outright, I do think it should still be removed from the wiki because lore stuff can be rephrased, rules not so much, so we should be moving away from including rules on the wiki as plagiarism is virtually unavoidable.--Dmon (talk) 04:19, 25 June 2019 (EDT)

Reverted Images
Hello ENOVA,
I am sorry to have taken so long to reply to you. Thank you for your patience. I reverted the pictures you uploaded primarily because we do not allow fan-created images on the wiki. While they were all based on canon artwork, they were modified from their original form when you upscaled them. (There is a noticeable shift in the colors, for example.) The only modification of images that is permitted is cropping and resizing in order to focus on the subject. Further modification of an artists original work qualifies as your own creation--fanon.
The second reason I reverted the images is that most were uploaded not as improvements for images, but as replacements for entirely different images. While this is not stated in Sarna policies, we do not do this. Images should only be replaced by higher quality (and canon) versions of the same image. If the image is new, it should be uploaded as a new image and added to appropriate articles. If the images you uploaded were original, I would have saved and uploaded them myself as new images.
A third issue I found is that those you uploaded as new images did not have an image summary template added to them. All images uploaded should include this template along with, at the minimum, the source of the image. This is an inconvenience but not a reason that I reverted any images. If the images aligned with Sarna's policies, I or another editor would have added the appropriate information.
I understand that you put a significant amount of time into creation of these images and it is frustrating seeing them taken down. Sarna's policies are in place for a reason and I encourage you to familiarize yourself with them. I, and other editors, will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the policies. You need only ask.

There is a fanon wiki that was created specifically for this. I encourage you to upload them here if you wish to display your work: http://battletechfanon.wikia.com/wiki/BattleTech_Fanon_Wiki
I hope with this new understanding that you choose to remain an editor on Sarna. We can always use more passionate BattleTech fans contributing to the site. Regards,--Cache (talk) 23:26, 10 February 2022 (EST)

:If I put it in the fandom, everyone will think it's not canon character art. But they are canon. It's just the image itself has become larger, more colorful and more detailed. Characters are the same. Any textalks, who share BT universe with people, would like to use these works instead of 500x500px 20 y. o. b/w piece of work. But I hear you and I'm not gonna break those rules again, at least not intentionally.--ENOVA 12 February 2022

::Thank you. I believe that if you put the images in the Fanon Wiki, and add a description stating their source and what was done to modify or enlarge them, there should be no confusion.--Cache (talk) 09:31, 12 February 2022 (EST)
