==Description==
The '''Medium Mass Driver''' is the mid-range [[Mass Driver]] developed by the [[Word of Blake]]. It fires a slug the size of a [[:Category:60_ton_BattleMechs|60 ton 'Mech]] at its target. Due to the sheer size of the weapon, it can only be mounted in a [[WarShip]] or [[Space Station]] that masses at least 1,500,000 tons. This means only  [[WarShip#WarShip_Categories|Battleships]] and [[Space Stations]] could mount the Medium Mass Driver. In addition, only one Mass Driver could be mounted on a WarShip.

Like all [[Mass Driver|Mass Drivers]], the Medium Mass Driver wasn't very accurate<ref>[[Tactical Operations]], p. 323, +2 to hit modifier on any target</ref> and had a restricted firing arc.<ref>[[Tactical Operations]], p. 323, WarShip mounted Mass Drivers must be mounted in the nose of the ship, and may only fire at targets directly ahead of the ship's nose.</ref>
