Mathew Taggart was an officer with the Black Inferno mercenary command.[1]

History[edit]

Following an unsuccessful attempt to remove a farming community on Cole Harbour, Black Inferno attempted to exact revenge and ambush Nik's Cavaliers on Cavanaugh by replicating the conditions, going so far as to sacrifice a few tanks and a couple light 'Mechs on a staged raid on a farm. Mathew Taggart and his lancemate were then tasked with attacking the Cavaliers just outside the port city, luring them into the Inferno's trap.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Taggart piloted either a SHD-2H Shadow Hawk or WVR-6K Wolverine, while his lancemate piloted the other.[1]
