It took several more weeks, but the Raiders hit and run operations were not enough to dislodge the AFFS. The Ironsides used this to their advantage and destroyed several company-sized units when they stopped to rest. The Task Force was able to establish a new landing zone and the DropShips landed. As soon as this happened, Lockhardt's Iron Flight swooped in and destroyed half the already damaged DropShips. From there they jumped to [[New Syrtis]]. The Fifth led the charge to Saso, New Syrtis' capital. They encountered picket units from Warrior House Hiritsu, 1st McCarron's Armored Cavalry, 4th McCarron's Armored Cavalry, Warrior House Kamata, and the Dynasty Guard. The Fifth Lancers and First Davion Auxiliary were assigned to capture the Hasek family's estate.
