Between 2572 and [[2765]] the Regulars gained two new regiments, the [[Ariana Grenadiers]] and [[Tristram's Avengers]]. The Regulars had spent much of the Star League era as garrison forces, but as the secret wars and hidden conflicts between the Great Houses began to escalate in the mid-twenty-eighth century the Regulars began to rapidly gain combat experience.
