Serving as the anchor in vehicle and QuadVee Stars, the Doom Courser is a resilient beast.  Its standard 280 fusion engine propels it to 64.8 km/h, and when combined with its twelve tons of ferro-fibrous armor give it superior battlefield endurance. With 28 tons of available pod space, the inclusion of a Turret that can mount fifteen tons of equipment—in addition to its more traditionally mounted secondary armament—helps mitigate the typical disadvantages of a quadrupedal design, by giving the mounted weapons a 360° firing arc. All configurations of the Doom Courser take advantage of this design choice by mounting heavy-hitting, long-range weapons in the turret, allowing its pilot to command the battlefield from afar.

The Primary Configuration is geared towards long-range combat, with an ER PPC and LRM 20 augmented by Artemis IV mounted in its Turret.  A Gauss rifle is mounted in the left torso, giving the 'Mech a heavy punch that doesn't tax its heat systems.
