Sergeant Mariesdottir grew up on Filtvelt during a time of relative prosperity but found the quiet of her homeworld did not suit her fiery temperament. Mariesdottir pushed herself hard at the Filtvelt Academy and earned a coveted slot in the Thumpers. While Mariesdottir fit in well with the semi-mercenary command, her starry-eyed idealism earned good-natured ribbing from her older comrades. Still a rookie, Mariesdottir often placed herself in the center of the action to earn respect.[1]
